Why is the site offline?
Our content delivery network (CDN) partner of over 15 years has advised that they are unable to continue serving this website until we implement additional safeguards to prevent users from uploading illegal content. In response, we have temporarily taken the site offline while we address these requirements.
What have we done so far?
Over the last decade, we have invested significant effort into preventing misuse of this service. This has included:
• Blocking TOR and other anonymising networks
• Blocking onion websites and known abusive TLD referrers
• Blocking certain high-risk countries and regions
• Maintaining blocklists covering tens of thousands of ISPs
worldwide
Despite these measures, a very small proportion of daily uploads (around 0.04%) still constitutes abuse. Because of the serious nature of this content, we have chosen to suspend public access to the site until more robust and sustainable safeguards are in place.
What happens next?
Our immediate priorities are to remove existing illegal material and to design stronger protections for all future uploads. This work will take some time, and we appreciate your patience and cooperation over the coming weeks while we complete it.
